Find the right problems to solve

Many of the occasions, such as startup pitches, writing scientific papers, and product design processes, require a context of problem-solution. There’s even a concept named “Problem-Solution Fit” which is a premise of product market fit.

However, our partner, Hajime Hotta, believes that:

  • 99% of problems are not worth solving;

  • Overgeneralization, exaggeration, ambiguous words or subjective words could ruin the logic of problem statement.

  • Most people waste their time in the usual “problem-solving flow”.
